Fiber works at the intersection of art, design, and craft

Featured work

Openings

A series of wall sculptures featuring hand woven and stitched textile, each one interrupted in distinct ways by sculpted openings that reveal a mirrored surface behind it. As one moves past, these openings offer glimpses of the viewer, of the dimensional openings reflected back, and of the textile’s reverse side. The effect is a lightness that joins subtle depth.

Undoing

A textile wall sculpture formed of strands of felted wool stitched together with contrasting wool yarn. What begins as ordered and intentional gradually loosens as the form drifts into something freer and less resolved. It reads as a structure in the process of releasing itself.

A near relative of the ‘Encoded’ series, this piece directly responds to the structure of the works that came before, but instead of holding form, this one lets go. The deconstruction is gentle rather than dramatic. Not a rupture but a slow exhale.

Halo Series

A series of small format wall sculptures featuring crystals grown on linen with a gesso resist. The backdrop for each is nearly identical, as are the conditions the pieces are exposed that promote crystal formation. An exercise in artistic surrender, nature directs the final outcome of each, influenced only by minor interventions during the growth process.
